It’s that time when people start thinking about goal setting for the new year. These goals can be personal or professional, but are meant to move us forward into a space we want to be in. Here are a few tips to help keep your goals sustainable.
Tip One: Start with a clear vision.
Imagine what success looks like. What will achieving this goal bring to your life, career, or well-being? A clear vision gives your efforts direction and keeps your motivation alive. When you can see the finish line in your mind, it becomes easier to map out the steps to get there.

Tip Two: Create Mini-Milestones
Big goals can feel overwhelming without smaller, actionable steps. Break them into achievable milestones to track progress and celebrate wins along the way. These small successes not only build confidence but also keep the process exciting and manageable.
Resource: Gantt Charts can be useful for visualizing mini-milestones. Here is a template on Canva that you might find helpful.
Tip Three: Flexible deadlines
Life is unpredictable, and your goals need to adjust as circumstances change. Setting target deadlines that allow for flexibility helps you stay committed without the frustration of rigid timelines. Progress is progress—focus on moving forward, even if it’s at a different pace than you planned.

With these strategies, you’ll feel more in control of your goals and better equipped to reach them!
