3-2-1: New Newsletter Format with Practical Tips!
EduMatch® connects educators worldwide with similar passions and interests who wish to grow and expand their learning.
by Mandy Froehlich
We are always looking to improve at EduMatch! Therefore, we have developed a new newsletter format that we hope you enjoy! If you’re reading this, you’re officially in the guinea pig club. We would love to hear any feedback, positive or critique, that you have about the new format. Our goal is to make it as useful to you as possible!
We will be following a 3-2-1 system.
Three practical tips that you can use in your classroom or school.
Two resources connected to those tips or that you might find useful.
One announcement or celebration from our EduMatch community OR something to make you go hmmmm (make you think).
Please let you know how you feel about the changes! Don’t forget to join our Facebook community or follow us on Twitter!
Tip One: Introduce Digital Citizenship with Custom Infographics
As you set the tone for responsible technology use, create infographics with Adobe Express that outline key principles of digital citizenship. Display these in your classroom or share them digitally with students to reinforce the importance of online safety, etiquette, and digital positivity. Here is a template for Identifying Misinformation to get you started.
Tip Two: Create Vision Boards for the School Year
Encourage students to set goals for the new school year by designing vision boards using Adobe Express. They can include images, quotes, and text that represent their academic and personal aspirations, helping them to visualize and stay motivated throughout the year. Here is a link to a remixable template for vision boards.
Tip Three: Develop a Classroom Expectations and Norms Infographic
After discussing classroom expectations and norms, students can work in small groups to create infographics summarizing the key points. This gives them ownership of the rules and a chance to reinforce their understanding by presenting the information visually. Here is an example template of what that might look like.
Did you know that you can access Adobe Express for free as a teacher? Adobe Express can even be integrated at the district level for free. EduMatch can also provide PD for using Express, and if your district qualifies, it may be FREE! Reach out to us for more information and we are happy to check what’s available to you!
Two Resources to Support You!
Review the four webinars offered by EduMatch as an Adobe Kickoff in April. Find sessions on the Introduction to Adobe Express, Infographics With Adobe Express, Student Presentations with Express, and Teach Language and Literature with Express. Enrollment is, of course, free. |

One Celebration
We want to give a HUGE shoutout to Maggie Ojeda for her work with Midland ISD in our partnership with Google! She rocked it like we knew she would. We received feedback such as, “Absolutely Amazing! Maggie has a great energy and kept the session entertaining” and “You elevated my teaching!” The only critique was that they wanted the session to be LONGER because they wanted more! We are always so humbled and thrilled to have such amazing people that we work with. Thank you, Maggie!
